That's what I get for procrastinating!
Those goofy Israelis! God gave them such a miraculous deliverance from Egypt and they repaid him by utter submission and reverence.
Just kidding! The grumbled and belly ached and griped and moaned and whined. For 40 years!
Cue sinusey nasaly high pitched voice: "We had it soooooo good when we were slaves...now we have to wonder this desert and we're all gonna prolly die!".
Man! God showed them time and again what He was capable of and they still complained.
I shouldda read this yesterday....lol.

I understand most of the talents God has blessed me with. Not completely mind you, but I a basic understanding of them.
Currently I am using none of them to further His Kingdom.
Furthermore, I have been run over by Satan in a Mac truck driving well over the speed limit. One of my talents is definitely not being able to see this stuff coming all the time.
Note to self: Talk to God about this.

God Has Dominion

God is in control. I think sometimes I forget that. This morning in church, one of the worship songs said He Overcame. The pastor got up and added, He overcame, and He is overcoming. Our struggles and worry should not exist if we can live in this reality.
God is in control.

God saw that it was good.
Today's devotion says it's ok to feel good about our accomplishments. I agree. As long as we're careful not to boast.
God didn't have to turn to the angels and say, "Did you see that? Did you see what I just did?". Nope. God's work kinda speaks for itself.
I think our works should speak for themsevles. It's ok to feel good about ourselves but we should feel comfortable enough with what we've done to let other's notice it for themselves.

Being honest with God? This is the most ludicrous thing! How can we not be honest with Him? He knows ever thing anyway!

I'm thinking I need to switch to a devotional approach. This one year bible is too scattered for me. It's too much for my brain to pull together. LOL!

The Beginning
It's interesting to point out the Bible reading started at the beginning of everything. The beginning of Creation, the beginning of Christ, the beginning of wisdom.
That's a great place to start
As long as you don't end up there when you're done. Too many times we start out on a new journey with Christ, only to end up giving up midway through the new journey and going home.
I'm grateful for a God that can take even the most frustratingly desperate of circumstances and use it for His Glory.
So even if we end up back on own porch, out of breath, or full of fear, God can say, "This is just the beginning!".
And if we'll take His hand and trust him, He'll lead us through adventures and take us on journeys we never knew we could go on.
